Yoga is not only a practice for stilling the mind and inculcating strong awareness, but it is also a method of expression and celebration. The body holds emotion and energy in different places and we open up these centers to experience the fullness of these emotions. In this particular sequence, we focus on warmth, extension, celebration, and love. Most of the postures involve keeping both feet on the ground, so that our joy is rooted deeply in our fullest sense of self. Enjoy each posture, and remember that there is no “right” or “wrong” way of doing this. Feel free to insert the poses that make you feel the most authentically connected to holiday cheer.
